Today’s leaders must continuously evolve to remain effective in a rapidly changing world. EXCEED provides structured, enjoyable ways to grow, gain exposure, share insights, and stay sharp while engaging in what they love.
Every activity on the EXCEED platform is assigned a PDC value. Members must earn at least 60 PDCs per year to remain in good standing. You earn PDCs by participating in approved EXCEED programs or proposing and executing your own development initiatives (once approved).
Yes. Members can propose custom personal development activities. Once reviewed and approved by the EXCEED team, these activities will be assigned a PDC value and count toward your annual target.
Apply online at www.exceedmyself.com/register. After submitting your application, it will be reviewed for approval. Once accepted, you will gain access to activities and development opportunities tied to your category.
Yes. The details will be shared with applicants during the onboarding process.
Yes. Some EXCEED activities—such as consulting, coaching, speaking, or facilitating—may or may not offer income opportunities. Such details will be given at the time of proposing an opportunity.
EXCEED expects every member to meet this benchmark. If you fall behind or your performance, conduct, or engagement declines, EXCEED may:
- Call you in for support and guidance.
- Provide rehabilitation options.
- If there’s no cooperation or improvement, EXCEED may suspend or deregister you.
- Professionalism - EXCEED upholds the highest standards of conduct, competence, and accountability in all member engagements and contributions.
- Ethical Conduct - EXCEED members demonstrate integrity, transparency, and fairness in all actions, ensuring trust and respect across the platform.
- Continuous Development - EXCEED champions a culture of lifelong learning, where members are empowered to grow their skills, mindset, and impact.
- Effectiveness in Performance - EXCEED fosters a results-driven mindset where members deliver meaningful, measurable value through purposeful leadership and collaboration.
These are non-negotiable traits for all who wish to be part of EXCEED’s transformational leadership community.
Should it come to the attention of EXCEED that a member:
- Is not conducting himself/herself professionally in terms of generally acceptable societal norms and practices,
- Is not conducting himself/herself in line with generally accepted ethics in society and professional disciplines,
- Is not on course with his/her Continuous Personal Development Credits, and/or
- Is not performing to expected Effectiveness levels in the workplace,
EXCEED reserves the right to summon the member and assist him/her in getting back on the rails. Should the member fail to cooperate with the rehabilitation efforts, EXCEED reserves the right to suspend or deregister the member. In the event of deregistration, EXCEED’s decision will be final.

No. EXCEED is cross-sectoral and inclusive. It welcomes leaders and professionals from the government, the private sector, academia, civil society, and other industries.
Unlike many traditional development programs, EXCEED:

- Builds a pan-African ecosystem of learning, earning, and sharing.
Once onboarded, you’ll have access to your EXCEED member account, where you can track all activities, proposed engagements, approved PDCs, and your development journey.
Participation in these activities earns you Personal Development Credits (PDCs). To remain in good standing, each member is expected to earn at least 60 credits annually.
- Participate in conversations as a speaker, panelist, discussant, facilitator, or attendee/delegate.
- Publish thought leadership content through EXCEED platforms.
- Serve as a consultant through EXCEED.
- Participate in coaching and mentoring within leadership and transformation programs through EXCEED.
- Get involved in strategic activities across the continent through EXCEED.
- Explore tailored opportunities aligned with one’s passions and expertise.
- If you are a leader in your organisation, you can apply by creating your account on the EXCEED platform. To do so, visit www.exceedmyself.com. Your application will be subject to approval by EXCEED and once approved, you are ready to participate in the opportunities offered by EXCEED as a member.
- You are required to accumulate at least sixty (60) Personal Development Credits (PDCs) during the year to remain in good standing as a member. The opportunities you will access will have credits attached to them, that is how you will earn your credits.
- There is an opportunity to propose your self-initiated activities to earn PDCs. You will need to propose the activities, have them approved by EXCEED, and have PDCs attached to them.
